Burn candles down
Lost in the puzzle barely couldn’t get out
And your lungs said it hops around when your whole
Where the gods can go
Grazing into night til the nobody knows
Out lately, outward with so many heads
In the blink of an eye
In a flick of a lie
Won’t you take me down to the river
We’ll take the poison now
Look how the hills come alive
Maybe we’ll stay together
Gonna leave on a high
The fields are alive
Fear is alive in the fall
And we better settle for the dark
A little well had drown
The grass is always greener on the edges of lime
Don’t say what’s always your heart is your own
Before this rodeo
She’s gonna see the blizzard for the dead end show
Old faces arises, you know? When you’re whole
Gonna leave behind
In the rivers, we dive
Won’t you take me down down forgiver
We’ll take the poison now
Look how the hills come alive
Well maybe we’ll stay together
To the river and into the fire
The fields come alive
Let the hills come alive
And we better settle for the dark
Roll deep in the night
In the flick of the lie
Loves rolling me down on the river
Left fuse on the fire
And the hills come alive
Maybe we’ll stay together
Like a shout out the night on the fire
Only fear is alive
Let the hills come alive
In the nether
(Never) settle for the dark
Winsome and winning indie pop songs on the latest from The Chairman Dances, where erudite lyrics are cradled by gorgeous arrangements. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 30, 2023
A solid debut from a promising band, Golden Head is one hell of a first statement. My favourite pick would be Morrigan, the track truly highlights everything Sol Ether has to offer. Deeply mystical work that resonates on a subconscious level, appealing to instincts and fears rather than betting on shock value. And those vocals - it’s pure primal rage
